Two exceptional jazz guitarists come together for a very special Sunday evening at Lincoln Jazz Café.
Nigel Price and Libor Šmoldas first met six years ago and immediately clicked. Two kindred musical spirits with a shared love of no nonsense jazz, tinged with blues and soul.
For this performance, Libor will be on guitar with Nigel on baritone guitar, performing a carefully chosen selection of jazz standards alongside a few original compositions. Expect a reverence for the great masters of the past, while both musicians bring their own distinctive style to the music.
Libor Šmoldas
Prague based guitarist and composer Libor Šmoldas has performed and recorded with internationally renowned musicians including James Morrison, George Mraz, Jeff Ballard, Sam Yahel, Bobby Watson and Adam Nussbaum.
He has released eight albums as a leader and was also part of Ondrej Pivec and his Organic Quartet, winners of an Andel Award for Best Jazz Recording of the Year.

Award winning guitarist Nigel Price has enjoyed a career spanning more than 30 years, appearing on over 60 albums and touring the UK 16 times.
Winner of the British Jazz Award for Best Guitarist in 2016, Nigel is also a regular performer at the legendary Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club, where he has made more than 600 appearances.
