🎸 Frank Birkbeck – the Lincolnshire-born guitarist and multi-instrumentalist – continues to redefine what modern jazz can be. With over two decades of experience, sold-out shows, and performances at iconic venues like Ronnie Scott’s and Matt & Phreds, Frank’s playing is bold, fluid, and endlessly inventive. This is a musician who refuses to stand still — and neither does his music.
🎷 Joining him is Eliot Richards on saxophone — a player whose sound is as soulful as it is explosive. Having performed across Europe, Asia, and the Americas, Eliot brings a global perspective to the stage, blending the influence of greats like Lester Young, Coleman Hawkins, and Sonny Rollins into a voice that’s entirely his own. Expect warmth, fire, and lines that cut straight through.
🥁 On drums, Tom Maddison adds depth, precision, and serious pedigree. A graduate of Leeds College of Music’s renowned jazz course, Tom has performed everywhere from major UK festivals like Boomtown to the Royal Albert Hall, working across jazz, orchestral, and contemporary settings. His playing is dynamic, responsive, and deeply musical — the perfect engine for a trio built on interplay.
