On Sunday, 1st September, from 6-8 pm, we welcome you to an unforgettable night featuring the extraordinary talents of Pat McCarthy and Molly Amour.
Pat McCarthy is celebrated as one of the country’s premier jazz guitarists. His remarkable career has seen him write and record music for The Pat McCarthy Quartet, The Shannon Reilly Band, and The Alan Barnes Octet, among others. Pat’s compositions have resonated as far afield as New York and Japan. Humphrey Lyttleton once praised him as “World Class,” and his collaborations read like a who’s who of jazz royalty, including luminaries such as Alan Barnes, Dave Newton, Kenny Wheeler, and The London Mozart Players. Pat’s mastery of the guitar promises an evening of unparalleled musical magic.
Molly Amour brings her soulful jazz vocals, honed by a rich family heritage of musical talent, to the stage. With a 1940s big band crooner as a grandfather and a 1930s musical theatre singer as a grandmother, Molly’s passion for music is in her blood. Having refined her craft at the Loire Vocal Jazz summer school and through workshops with jazz greats like Anita Wardell and Liane Carroll, Molly captivates audiences with her heartfelt renditions of jazz standards and love songs. Performing regularly with the gypsy swing group The Hot Club of Lincoln, Molly’s voice is a perfect blend of nostalgia and optimism, echoing the renewal that autumn brings.
