Get ready for a night of smooth sophistication and swinging melodies as Dickie Baker, house pianist at the Young Sing in Bingham and a regular favourite at The Pelican Club in Nottingham, brings his signature style to the stage. Known for his previous performances at the Lincoln Jazz Café alongside Emily Farrar, Dickie is the very embodiment of classy jazz piano.
With a delicate touch and effortless charm, Dickie brings timeless standards like Fly Me To The Moon and The Girl from Ipanema to life—offering a rich, melodic experience in the spirit of jazz greats like Erroll Garner. His dynamic interplay with his trio creates an atmosphere that’s both intimate and exciting—this is jazz at its most refined.
- Supporting Dickie is Matt Carter on double bass, who regularly plays with Neil on a variety of venues and has played LJC with the Melody Flyte Quartet.
- Neil on drums is a well known face at the LJC, previously playing with Neil C Young, Frank Birkbeck and Melody Flyte Quartet.
