For the first time in our New Year’s Eve history, we are excited to feature a full quartet to elevate the celebration! Normally hosting a duo, this year’s guests will experience the vibrant energy of the Harry Souter Quartet, featuring the multi-talented Emma Coates on vocals and saxophone. With the rich sounds of double bass, drums, keys, and saxophone, this ensemble promises an unforgettable evening of live jazz.

The Harry Souter Quartet

Featuring Emma Coates (vocals & saxophone)

For this exclusive New Year’s performance, Harry Souter brings together an ensemble of talented musicians who are sure to elevate your evening.

• Harry Souter (Double Bass): A Lincoln Jazz Café regular, Harry has performed with four different bands here in the last six months. His versatility, whether on guitar or double bass, and his ability to seamlessly blend traditional swing with avant-garde jazz make him a standout performer.
• Sid Revell (Drums): Known for his expressive drumming style influenced by legends like Paul Motian and Tony Williams, Sid brings a dynamic energy to every performance. His intricate rhythms will keep you mesmerized throughout the night.
• Joseph Frost-Tesfaye (Keys): A powerhouse on the keys, Joseph is a prolific performer with deep roots in jazz and neo-soul. With influences from greats like John Hicks, Joseph will take you on an improvisational journey while paying homage to jazz traditions.
• Emma Coates (Vocals & Saxophone): Emma’s warm sax tone and naturally beautiful voice create the perfect cosy ambience for Lincoln Jazz Café. Her versatility and talent have made her a beloved figure in the UK jazz scene, and her performance is sure to captivate you.

To make your evening even more special, our talented catering partner has prepared festive platters of locally sourced ingredients, all beautifully arranged to enhance the luxury of the night. Expect an array of artisanal cheeses, fine charcuterie, fresh fruits, vegetables, and house-made focaccia bread to pair perfectly with your drinks.

And what’s New Year’s Eve without a toast? At midnight, we’ll serve champagne—not just any bubbles—so you can ring in 2025 in true style.

Evening Schedule

• 7:30 PM – Doors open. Grab a cocktail, settle in, and start the night with friends.
• 9:00 PM – The first set begins. Get ready for 30 minutes of pure jazz bliss from The Harry Souter Quartet.
• 9:30 PM – Short break to enjoy more drinks and festive platters.
• 10:00 PM – The second set begins, leading into more sensational live music.
• 10:30 PM – Break to socialise, grab another cocktail, and prepare for the midnight celebration.
• 11:00 PM – Final set begins, taking us closer to the New Year!
• 12:00 AM – Ring in 2025 with champagne and a special 20-minute final set from the quartet.
• 12:30 AM – The night concludes.
