Join us at Lincoln Jazz Cafe for an enchanting evening where the magic of movies meets the sophistication of jazz. On stage, we have the talented Luke, a music student from the University of Lincoln, who will be showcasing his unique interpretation of jazz through the lens of beloved film scores.
Luke’s journey into jazz began with his deepening understanding of music theory, which revealed to him the intriguing complexity within the genre’s apparent simplicity. With a cornet in hand, he explores the nuanced art of making “the wrong notes sound right,” a skill that makes jazz both challenging and rewarding.
His set, a thoughtful compilation inspired by iconic films such as “La La Land” and “Cinema Paradiso,” promises a 20-minute sonic exploration that blends the emotive power of movie soundtracks with the live energy of piano and cornet jazz. This performance is not just about music; it’s about storytelling through sound, where each note paints a scene and every melody tells a tale.
The event kicks off at 7 PM sharp, but doors open at 5 PM. We encourage you to arrive by 6:30 PM to secure a good spot and perhaps indulge in one of our signature cocktails or a selection from our curated wine list. Though admission is FREE, booking a table is highly recommended as space is limited and demand is high.

Please note, tables are booked for a 2-hour slot and will be held for 15 minutes past your booking time before being released to somebody else. While you may try your luck on the night, booking in advance is advised to avoid disappointment.
