Booking and arrival
Do I need to book?
We strongly recommend booking, especially for live music nights and weekends. You can book in advance via our Book a Table page.

What time should we arrive for live music events?
We recommend arriving at least 30 minutes before the music starts. For most live music events, we open around 1 hour before, but this can vary depending on the event. Please check the specific event listing here: https://lincolnjazzcafe.co.uk/events/
Can I visit when there is no event on?
Yes. Even without live music, you can enjoy cocktails, wine, or beer in our cosy lounge and soak up the intimate, jazzy atmosphere. Perfect for dates, catch ups, and relaxed evenings.
Are walk ins possible?
Yes. If we are not fully booked or an event is not sold out, we accept walk ins. If you would like to check availability before you travel, please call us on 01522 525 526.
Can I cancel my table booking?
Yes. Please click the cancellation link in the SMS or email you received when you made the booking.

Seating, service and atmosphere
Do you offer table service or bar ordering?
We offer table service.
Can I request a specific table or seating area?
We allocate tables automatically. However, if you prefer a particular table or seating area, we will do our best to accommodate your request where possible.
What is the vibe like?
Cosy, intimate, and date night friendly, with space for great conversation.
On Sundays and select live music events, we ask guests to let the musician shine without disturbance.
On Fridays and some other music nights, the room stays lively and relaxed, with drinks and conversation flowing alongside the music.
Is there a dress code?
We are flexible and smart casual is perfect. We simply ask guests not to arrive looking untidy.
Please do not wear clothing or slogans that are offensive, political, discriminatory, or inflammatory.

Please check your email inbox, including your spam or junk folder, for your confirmation email. If you still cannot find your ticket, email mail@lincolnjazzcafe.co.uk and we will help you locate your booking.
What type of live music do you host?

What is your ticket refund policy?
Paid live music tickets are non refundable. However, the Musician Support Contribution is refundable if cancelled at least 48 hours before the event.

Do you serve food?

Do you offer non alcoholic drinks and alcohol free options?
Yes. We offer alcohol free beers, mocktails, and 0 percent sparkling wine.
Do you serve beer?
Yes, we do, but our main focus is cocktails and wine, with a smaller selection of beer available.

Private hire and groups
Do you offer private hire?
Yes. Want the entire Lincoln Jazz Café to yourself? Just say the word. We can make the whole space off limits to the rest of the public, so you can host your event your way.
What can private hire include and how many people can you host?
You can have finger food, drinks and live music for up to 30 people. Or come to us after a meal for fabulous drinks and incredible live jazz and swing music for up to 36 people.

Age policy
What is your age policy?
We warmly welcome guests aged 14 and older, provided they are accompanied by an adult. We kindly request that all guests under the age of 18 exit the premises by 9 pm.
For jazz events, guests aged 14 and older who have purchased tickets may stay past 9 pm if the event concludes after that time.
All minors must be accompanied by an adult throughout.

Gift cards
How can I redeem a gift card when booking tickets if the QR code and barcode are not recognised?

Dogs
Are dogs allowed?
Dogs are only permitted in our outdoor area. Assistance dogs are permitted inside.

Payments
Do you accept cash?
We are phasing out cash. The last day that we will accept cash is 31 March 2026. From 1 April 2026 we will only accept card payments.

Do you have parking on site?
We do not have parking on site, but there are several car parks just a 5 minute walk from the bar.
Do you have outdoor seating?
Yes. We offer outdoor seating all year round. It is covered but not heated.
